Proteos is a private, employee-owned contract research organization located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The company has been providing custom, high-quality recombinant protein production services to the life-science community since 2003. Proteos recently upgraded its eukaryotic expression capabilities with the purchase of 4 high-capacity reach-in incubator/shaker systems built by Eberbach Corporation, Belleville, Michigan. These new units provide increased culture capacity, precise temperature and CO2 control, and monitoring for serum-free, protein-free shake flask culture of mammalian and insect cells. Proteos can now offer expression of multiple batches of recombinant protein at scales up to 60 L for HEK or CHO cells and 40 L for baculovirus infected Sf9 or T. ni cells.
